The Map of Medicine is an online clinical knowledge resource for healthcare professionals ("Map of Medicine"). The Map of Medicine is produced and made available by Map of Medicine Ltd, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hearst Corporation ("Hearst"). The Map of Medicine Ltd registered office is at Fox Court, 14 Gray's Inn Road, London WC1X 8HN  (Registered in England and Wales no. 6454115).

This Privacy Statement describes how Map of Medicine Ltd processes your personal information when you register for the trial or use of the Map of Medicine.

Map of Medicine Ltd collects personal information about you, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address and job description. Map of Medicine Ltd uses this information, as well as your username and password, for purposes of providing access to and enabling use of the Map of Medicine. This includes:

  • registration with Map of Medicine Ltd for the trial or use of the Map of Medicine and confirmation of your registration;
  • providing access to the Map of Medicine and verification of your identity each time you wish to access the Map of Medicine; and
  • providing support services in respect of the use of the Map of Medicine.

Map of Medicine Ltd sometimes uses suppliers, to provide services on its behalf. Where Map of Medicine Ltd uses such suppliers, Map of Medicine Ltd may provide your personal information, but only to the extent required for the purposes set out above. Map of Medicine Ltd will require any such suppliers to process personal information appropriately and in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Statement. By submitting your personal information, you consent to such processing and transfer of your personal information by Map of Medicine.

You may request access to your personal information held by Map of Medicine Ltd, and, if any of that information is incorrect, you may request correction of that information.
